ABOUT
Mary Stengel Bentley is a multidisciplinary artist based in Nashville, TN, primarily working in painting, drawing and installation. Rooted in her practice is the study of unconscious mark making. She is driven by a desire to create images that spark life through her expressive style. Nature is a constant source of inspiration as are more abstract themes such as Music, Color and Connection.
In her installations, Mary is committed to creating art that interacts with it’s environment in order to produce an emotional impact that is unique to any given space. Her artwork aims to emphasize the exclusive nature of the sites that exhibit her work.
