New Exhibition "Under Construction" Opening November 1

Morgan’s on Fulton Gallery is pleased to announce Under Construction, a solo show by local artist, Mary Stengel Bentley.

In her first show in Chicago, Bentley sparks a dialogue with the West Loop's booming construction over the recent years through an installation of original drawings and prints.  Using a meticulous process, Bentley explores the construction of building large, imaginary maps of urban landscapes one mark at a time. Her compositions recall realistic city grids but often take on a life of their own beyond the original inspiration.  They buzz with energy as geometric shapes come together and weave complex patterns of mark-making.

The exhibition will take place November 1st to December 4th, 2017.  A public reception for the artist will be held on Friday, November 17th, 2017 from 6-9pm.
